The superbowl is coming up fast, and everyone knows the best part of the Super Bowl is the commercials and the food. The commercials you can’t control but the food portion you definitely can. Here are some cool recipe ideas that incorporate some locally made ingredients:
Inferno Pepper Jelly hors d’oeuvres
Wanna spice things up from the start, here’s what we suggest:
- 1 jar of Kelly’s Jelly’s Inferno Pepper Jelly
- 1 package cream cheese
- Assorted chips for dipping. We chose pretzel chips and two varieties of pita chips
Directions: Assemble like the photo below, nothing to it!
Kids young and old will enjoy these!
- 1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 8 teaspoons natural peanut butter from Once Again Nut Butter
- 8 teaspoons Triple Berry Jam from Kelly’s Jellies
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
- 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
Unroll crescent dough; separate into triangle. spread 1 teaspoon each of jelly and peanut butter on the wide end of each triangle; sprinkle with peanuts. Roll up from the wide end and place point side down 2 in. apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Curve ends to form a crescent shape. Bake at 375 for 11-13 minutes or until lightly browned. Dust with confectioners’ sugar and enjoy!
